You’ve suffered from chronic stress and your natural responses to these stresses are still making you feel haywire. Your body is constantly tired, achy, and inflamed. Your mind ping-pongs between thoughts that are overwhelming, sad, and distressed.
You’re ready to put yourself back together again but there seems to be this huge block to getting back on your feet.
The problem is that you’re totally exhausted from just trying to “Hang in there”.
How in the world are you supposed to start putting your life back together when you feel like you’re still trying to find the ground?
How are you supposed to overcome this….Life Depletion?
A HUGE problem with how we experience trauma and stress is that we don’t understand our own processes of healing. The first problem is that we don’t recognize that there are processes in healing. “You don’t know what you don’t know.” How would you even know that there was a process unless someone who knew there was a process told you?
Many people who experience trauma and chronic stress in their life go to some form of counseling or therapy, which can be really helpful in talking through difficult emotions, experiences or memories. Some therapies can help break the mind-body connection that have embedded themselves as memories that serve to remind us to “stay safe”.
You see the mind, body, and spirit are called our subtle bodies, they are parts of the “whole” person and they have direct relationships with one another. What affects one part of your subtle body, will affect another.
When you get a sense that “something bad is about to happen”, your fight or flight response kicks in. Your stress hormones go into overdrive and you’re primal instincts tell you that you better get your rear in gear because ….it’s going down and you better be prepared for the fight of your life.
The Mayo Clinic describes this stress response as; “Your hypothalamus, a tiny region at the base of your brain, sets off an alarm system in your body. Through a combination of nerve and hormonal signals, this system prompts your adrenal glands to release a surge of hormones, including adrenaline and cortisol.”
“As these stress signals alarm this is what happens in your body. Adrenaline increases your heart rate, elevating your blood pressure and boosting your energy supplies. The primary stress hormone, Cortisol, increases your blood sugar (glucose), enhancing the brain's use of glucose and increasing the availability of substances that repair tissues.
Cortisol also curbs functions that would be nonessential or detrimental in a fight-or-flight situation. It alters immune system responses and suppresses the digestive system, the reproductive system, and growth processes. This complex natural alarm system also communicates with regions of your brain that control mood, motivation, and fear.
But when stressors are always present and you constantly feel under attack, that fight-or-flight reaction stays turned on.
The long-term activation of the stress-response system — and the subsequent overexposure to cortisol and other stress hormones — can disrupt almost all your body's processes. This puts you at increased risk of numerous health problems, including:
- Digestive problems
- Heart disease
- Sleep problems
- Weight gain
- Memory and concentration impairment”
To sum it up, your body and mind can become depleted during long periods of stress. You absolutely cannot live your life on fight or flight all of the time. One of the obstacles that people face when attempting to heal from chronic stress that has left them feeling completely exhausted, is finding the right care that will help them get back on the path of healing and moving away from disease.
Your amazing doctors, counselors, dietician, spiritual counselor, all give you information and guidance regarding your health (which is awesome), but even they don’t know what they don’t know! Those fields of study generally focus on one area don’t provide a holistic (overall) approach to healthcare.
It’s like we get pieces of the puzzle but everyone assumes that we know how to assemble to the pieces together to create the whole picture that makes up our health. Which can cause people to feel frustrated, confused and unclear about how to move forward.
Because stress is a mind-body problem we need to have a mind-body approach. Even more complex than having the answers, is knowing how to implement the changes that we need to make.

During the Week 1 of this program, Laura will teach you how to create your day so that it favors you staying on track and moving towards a healing direction. Laura will teach you not only what she has realized from her own personal experiences of feeling overwhelmed, exhausted and stuck, as well as what she learned about holistic healing and transformation through her Mind-Body Education.
In Week 2 Laura will teach you how to re-program your mind to stop always expecting the worst. Once your stress responses have been stuck for a while under chronic stress, your mind becomes wired to think a certain way. It doesn’t always serve you to think in terms of fight or flight and you need to know how to reset your thinking patterns.
In Week 3 Laura will teach you about what’s helping you and what’s hurting you in terms of foods. You will learn about how to supplement your health so that you’re gaining your health and healing as productively you can. You don’t want to waste any more of your time or money on things that you thought were healthy but are actually deterring your healing. This is a missing healing component for too many people!
Week 4 is special because it gives you the tools that you need in order to feel like you have a safe and stable foundation to grow from. If you don’t have a solid foundation everything that you build upon it will eventually become unstable. These feelings of stability and security stem from our primal energies that help us feel safe enough to grow.
This program has been designed to guide you through each day/week in an encouraging approach that allows you to cast aside feelings of overwhelm. Your goal here is to feel self-empowered and capable of functioning peacefully in your day to day life. You will be focusing on one thing at a time.
There is no need to memorize the lessons. You will have continued access to all of the weekly modules and material for as long as the program is active.
