About this Course
As a Psychologist, it shatters me to see how many wonderful women end up in my treatment room because they haven't been taught how to care for themselves, nurture themselves and value themselves. They've fallen into patterns of daily living that don't reflect what matters to them and they find themselves without energy and enthusiasm.
There is so much incredible research out there telling us the importance of self-care - yet when women begin to do their own research into self-care the info is generic, generalised to the masses and sometimes completely inaccurate.
So these strong women who are running on empty feel exasperated because they truly believe that self-care can help but they know in their gut that having a bubble bath just isn't going to cut it.
Our mission at The Mindful Collective is to inspire mindful and compassionate change in young women (and the young at heart, of course) and I knew we had to share our knowledge by creating an in-depth experience for women so that they can understand their self-care needs and teach them a way of experimenting to find what nourishes their soul.
After all, if you keep doing what you've always done (probably very little self-care) you'll get what you've always got (feeling flat, uninspired and maybe even heading for burnout)! We wanted to find a way to give you something different (an evidence-based way to experiment with self-care) to get you where you want to be (that self-care cup overflowing)!!
And so Your Personal Self-Care Course was created and updated, thanks to the feedback from ladies who have travelled this road before!
This course is tailored to you, right from the start. We use your personal values to fuel your self-care.
In this UPDATED 8-week research-based course you will learn:
- What your personal values are
- How to integrate your values into your life in a meaningful and purposeful way
- How to assess your current self-care
- Different areas of self-care (we get pretty creative here)
- How to use mindfulness to supercharge your self-care (and no, no forced meditation here!!)
- What a self-care perspective looks like
- How to experiment with what works the most effectively and efficiently for you
You will complete the course with a deeper understanding of your values, and your own tried-and-tested Personal Self-Care Menu - ready for action!
