Jade Goddess Self-Hypnosis is one approach of the Jade Goddess Method, and it focuses especially on liberating Liver Soul (Hun 魂).  A spring-discipline of  "5 Seasons Jade Woman", the Jade Goddess Method primarily concentrates on spreading the wood element and soothing the Liver. Energetically, the most subtle one of the 4 approaches (qi gong, self-massage, meditation, and self-hypnosis), Jade Goddess Self-Hypnosis works directly on the finest and purest aspect of the wood element - Wood Soul - Hun 魂.

Ancient Chinese generally believed that the individual human life consists of a substantial part as well as a spiritual part. The physical body relies for its existence on food and drink produced by the earth. The spirit depends on its presence on the invisible life force called qi, which comes into the body from heaven. In other words, breathing and eating are the two fundamental activities by which a person continually maintains his or her life. But the body and the spirit are each governed by a soul, namely, the Po and the Hun. Po 魄 (Lung Soul) is a corporeal soul that is tangible consciousness, and Hun 魂 (Liver Soul) is an ethereal soul that is formless consciousness. To be happy and grounded, a person's Hun 魂 needs to integrate with higher consciousness, or we call it the highest intelligence. Then, a person can tune in, be grounded and freshened by the grandeur of the universe.

Jade Goddess Self-Hypnosis is especially useful in treating deep-rooted traumas and gynecological conditions from menstruation to fertility to menopause. Although designed for women, this practice can benefit anyone who suffers from emotional traumas and emotional disturbances like obsessive behavior, anxiety, and anger.
