As a yang (subtle) approach of the Jade Goddess Method, this meditation focuses primarily on the emotional aspect of a person's body. Energetically, according to the alignment of Essence, Qi, and Spirit, it works directly on the Qi, vitality, which is continuously conditioned by emotions. Qi sits in the middle of a human's body and is critical to communicate the Essence (material base of life) with Spirit (the mental and spiritual core of being). According to Chinese Traditional Medicine, anger relates to the Liver system, the wood element, and spring. Due to the wind, the energetic motion of the Liver and the wood element, emotional disturbances caused by the anger usually are amplified. Spreading and expressing is the nature of the wood element and spring, so it is unhealthy for a person to hide or suppress the negative feelings that occasionally arise within her(him). That is why a person needs to come to terms with their emotional injuries and transform them routinely. It is part of the maturation process or dynamic of the wood element in spring. So, this sequence of meditation aims to offer a person an inmate moment to observe, fully express, then neutralize these inner turbulences.

Jade Goddess Meditation is especially useful in treating deep-rooted traumas and gynecological conditions from menstruation to fertility to menopause. Although designed for women, this practice can benefit anyone who suffers from emotional wounds and emotional disturbances like anxiety, depression, and anger.
