During this time of the pandemic and shelter-in-place orders, we are unable to gather for classes. Thankfully, we have the technology to help us stream classes from the comfort of our homes and where we are at. This series will specifically address us during these times as we explore gentle ways to stretch and move the body to support our immune health, detoxing, stress, and emotional well-being.
We can use all support we can get for our immune system, lungs, and emotions. Qigong can support the following:
- The increased emotions rising as we adapt to the changes and watch the economic, political, social, and health care climates change
- Our concerns and anxieties of our own health and health of our loved ones.
- The heartache and emotions of watching the death tolls rising and concerns for those on the front line of this pandemic.
- Support grief as we lose our loved ones or watch them struggle with the changes.
- Discover the link between our emotions and organ systems and how this affects our immune system.
- Reduce the risk of covid19 affecting our immune system and lung health.
- Support feelings of isolation and strengthen the way we connect energetically.
The stretches and exercises we will be doing together will be supporting our immune functions by encouraging lymph drainage. Most of our immune system handles infections like viruses within our lymphatic system. If we are encouraging our lymph to drain and clear out infections and toxins, we are supporting our immune system and more likely able to ward away illness as we are exposed.
There are many stretches that also support the flow of our lung meridian (the energy pathway) to increase lung resilience and strengthen the cells of the lung tissues. We will focus on stretches to support lung health during our 8 weeks together.
As we move energy, we will be shifting emotions and the attachments behind our emotions and experiences. We will focus on the emotions prevalent to many during the pandemic including anxiety, uncertainty, worry, fear, loss, grief, heartache, etc. Discover the link between our emotions and organ systems and how qigong, self-massage, and acu-tapping can shift the energy behind the emotions for a stronger sense of peace, ease, and acceptance with all the crazy things happening in the world. We can be concerned and aware without the harm of the excess emotions restricting our energy flow, inhibiting immune functions, and negatively affecting our overall health.
We will begin each class with a gentle warmup to increase circulation throughout the body, stretch our muscles, tendons, and ligaments to prepare for movement, increase strength and flexibility, improve balance, and more. It is also a great practice to calm an overactive mind and increase the neuropathways between the mind-brain and the body.
We will explore various exercises, with each week building on the next. Basic qigong, silk-reeling, Liangong, acu-tapping, meridian tracing, and qigong self-massage are some of the types of qigong practices we will explore. We will build up to learning 2 of my favorite qigong series: "The Radiant Heart Circuits", and the "13-Movement Series for Cleansing and Strengthening the Organ Systems".
Those who have attended my classes before feel relaxed, restored, and really good when they leave. I personally feel amazing afterward and know these practices support all aspects of my physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health. Let's expand the ripple of the flow we experience with qigong into the virtual and quantum realms. Support all aspects of your health while participating in "physical distancing".

We will be using Zoom for our live classes. You will be able to download recorded videos to stream or stream from YouTube
Each class will be recorded and uploaded into our course for lifetime access. Over time, I will build more content within the course such as uploading short videos of individual exercises and additional bonus content of how I take my qigong practice deeper using visualizations and setting intentions. We will explore the deeper healing of our emotions and physical body as we explore the energy systems deeper through qigong and energy healing.
