Welcome to Not Your Average Fitness Course -- Countdown to Summer
My name is Susie Johnson.
I'm 44, I've been married for 9 years, and I've got 7 kids.
My youngest child is 2.
And after feeling overweight, and unattractive, and unhealthy, and tired,
after trying to lose weight and failing,
I finally committed.
In January of 2013 I looked like this: and this:

For the past 15 months I have been documenting my weight loss and overall fitness and health journey on my blog, www.not-your-average-mom.com
I'm still not done. I have a little way to go in the weight loss department.
But after being told a number of times that I was an inspiration,
and after a reader made the suggestion,
I decided to started a series of e-courses to help motivate other people to get healthy or lose weight, or both.
Here is what this 8 week course will offer you:
- a community of people who share a common goal
- daily emails to inform you and help you stay on-track
- personal feedback and support
- different focuses for each week (strength, flexibility, moving out of your comfort zone, etc.)
- fitness/workout tips
- diet/nutrition/meal planning tips
- a focus on living your life mindfully
You don't need a gym membership. You don't need to be a runner. You only need determination and drive. There are no specific workouts you are required to do, although I will give you specific challenges from time to time.
