Sheila Wise Rowe & Nicholas Rowe

Sheila is s truth-teller who is passionate about matters of faith and emotional healing. She has a Master's degree in counseling, is a speaker, writer, Christian counselor, and spiritual director. And a member of the Redbud Writers Guild and writes essays for The Redbud Post, The Mudroom, Vere, The Art of Taleh, The Boston Sunday Globe, and READY publication. Sheila's the author of Healing Racial Trauma: The Road to Resilience. Nicholas Rowe has a Ph.D. in history, taught at universities across the globe and is now an Assistant Vice-President and college Professor. He is passionate about healing, writing, ethnic and racial reconciliation. Nicholas and Sheila co-authored; THE WELL of LIFE: Heal Your Pain, Satisfy Your Thirst, Live Your Purpose. And under ARISE / The Rehoboth House they created The Cyrene Movement an online community for BIPOC to heal from racial trauma, realize their potential and embrace community.

About this course

The Healing and Transcending Racial Trauma online training series is an urgent and timely offering for those wanting to heal and learn how to provide care and support to BIPOC including Bi-racial individuals, couples, church, and ministry leaders, counselors including yourself. Each session will be facilitated by Sheila Wise Rowe, M.Ed, author of Healing Racial Trauma: The Road to Resilience, and Nicholas Rowe, Ph.D. Joining them will be BIack, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, Bi-Racial, and White special guests. They will share lessons learned from decades of engaging in trauma counseling, and ministry. Including experiences of confronting racism, healing from racial trauma, and growing in resilience personally, within the church, and in their communities.

PLEASE NOTE the Healing and Transcending Racial Trauma 4-part online series that will run on November 10th, 17th, 24th, and December 1st, 2020. We will meet online from 7 pm - 8:30 pm.
