I am a lifestyle coach, yoga and meditation instructor and rogue anthropologist working with my clients and students to find a sense of equanimity and peace in their lives regardless of circumstances. In addition to the yoga and meditation training programs with an emphasis in meditation and Buddhist philosophy that I offer, I also specialize in working with women around issues of reproductive health, communication and stress management. I work with private clients all over the world using SKYPE and facilitate group coaching programs like this one.
About this Course
This is a meditation course for adults who want to learn specific meditation techniques to alleviate worry, fear, anxiety and stress related tension. This is a group coaching experience that includes a discussion board, webinars that you can participate in "live" or download as videos to view at your convenience and audio guided meditations that you can download and use for home practice anytime you need them. There are also teleconference "office hours" where you can call in or participate on the web and ask your instructor questions.
1-Breathing techniques to help you calm down when you are feeling overwhelmed
2-Loving Kindness meditation (metta meditation) to help build compassion for yourself and others
3-Give and Take meditation (tonglen meditation) as a method for dealing with difficult and painful emotions
4-Energizing and healing meditation techniques for mind, body and spirit
All of the practices are secular and can be practiced by adults with any religious or spiritual backgrounds, but the practices are rooted in Buddhist meditation and mind-body traditions. No experience is necessary and you can participate in the group aspects of the course as little or as much as you prefer. All of the videos, audio recordings and handouts can be downloaded and accessed at your convenience.
