About this course

We are so excited to offer you our Halloween Pumpkin Patch Challenge 2021. We will be doing a bit of a mystery Halloween quilt as we build our pumpkins elements separately.  You will have eyes and noses and mouths to choose from so that you can build the pumpkin faces you like. If you only like one you are welcome to use just one. If you prefer to do something more sophisticated and eliminate the mouths or both .

What is so great about this project is that if you do not want to make a quilt these blocks can be easily assembled for a table runner, wall hanging, place mats etc. We will also be doing it together, posting photos here and on FB or Instagram to share our progress. Let's get everyone excited!!

Inside each lesson you will get the files, PDF color instructions, SVG files, videos (if available that week), access to me and more! We will be able to stay connected as a community and share photos and ideas.

Here are the general fabric requirements needed if you are going to do all the backings and pumpkins in the same color and you are making the quilt which is approx 45"x53" depending on your borders.

  • 1 yard for the large pumpkin background: Sub-cut (24) 7”x 9” pieces
  • 1 1/4yrds for the small pumpkin backgrounds: sub-cut (17) 9”x 9” pieces
  • 1 yard for sashing
  • 1 1/8 yards for optional spiderweb border
  • 1/4 yard of different oranges for small pumpkin: sub-cut (17) 7”x 8” pieces
  •  5/8 yard for large pumpkin (see variation listed below)

The large pumpkin will stitch out in three sections in a 5”x7”.

The small pumpkin will be in a 7”x11” or 8”x12” hoop.

*You are welcome to use your stash and make all the pumpkins different fabrics so your fabric requirements will be different.

I hope you will join us, if you arrive late you will have access to all the previous blocks released.
