About this course
Overcoming insomnia is a short course in sleep hygiene and cognitive behavioral approaches to sleep training. Insomnia is the lynchpin in depression--the number one risk factor for developing depression and the number one risk factor for relapse in anyone who has ever had an episode of depression. Good sleep is also essential for a healthy metabolism and healty heart. Overcoming insomnia is not intended as a substitute for psychotherapy but may be used as a companion to cogntive-behavioral treatment.
