| YOUR TRAINER |

Rebekah (Bekah) Phipps, MS, CMHC

Bekah comes from a background in outdoor education and wilderness therapy, which has influenced her therapeutic style to integrate nature and experiential activities into the therapeutic process. While guiding and facilitating group processes in outdoor education, she began to experience the transformative power of guiding individuals and groups through outdoor/adventure-based experiences. She went on to deepen her therapeutic knowledge and skill set by pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Adventure-Based Psychotherapy and somatic psychology from Prescott College. From there she has worked in Residential, Wilderness Therapy and private practice settings. These experiences have led her to approach mental health from a trauma-informed, holistic point of view while guiding clients toward a deeper understanding of themselves and their individual resilience.

Bekah has experience with adolescents and adults of all ages who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodevelopment/executive functioning challenges, grief/loss, some substance use, identity development, as well as relational difficulties. She is certified in the Trauma Resiliency Model – Level 1, and has completed training in the Neuro Affective Relational Model (ongoing).
