Why take this course?

This is a course that will help you to innovate and be more creative, adventurous, and imaginative in your felt work. Sampling gives you the permission to invent surfaces and designs with a degree of freedom you do not have when doing a project. This course will teach you how to sample in an organised manner, and in a way that helps maximise your learning. Your feltmaking skills will be deepened, your knowledge base will develop, and you will gain new experiences with a range of materials. You will be given instructions, but you will have complete freedom to choose what to sample and what to create. The class is suitable for beginners to experienced feltmakers. Please note there are limited places and registration is open for a limited time.

If so, then this is the class for you.

Here is a testimonial from Julie about the class.

You can do the course completely at your own pace and have access to the complete class content straight away once the class opens on Feb 12th 2024. This makes it easy if you have to take a break or get too busy. The class is jam-packed full of great videos and PDF files -it is a sampling class so there are so many options for what to do in the course. The materials are easily accessed and I have a list of suppliers for you in the course. The black and white colour palette makes materials simple! Even if you chose not to make one sample, the class info would be such a great investment to develop your skills!

You will have 6 weeks of access to me in our Ruzuku discussion group and or Facebook page. We will have Zoom calls, 2 in each in different time zones, and a breakup ZOOM, dates to be advised. You will have access to the videos for life. PDF resources are all available to download when the class opens and are yours to keep. There is a money-back guarantee as long as you have only done 5% of the class and it is in the first day after opening. Please note, the currency conversion fees will not be refunded.

There are two price points - one full price/one payment of $295 USD and there is also a payment plan available but only through Stripe, not PayPal. 3 payments of $110 USD over 3 months. I am hoping there will be a price point in AUD ASAP. It will be $440.00AUD. There are limited places and registration is open for a limited time

    About me

    Wendy Bailye

About me: I am an Australian, Brisbane-based felt artisan, textile designer, and international art educator. I work primarily with handmade felt and with an eclectic mix of wool fibres, fabrics, papers, paints, silks, and threads. I also enjoy collage, mono-printing and jewellery making. These processes fire my imagination and amaze me even after almost 30 years of professional making! Each piece is a unique creation. I love the unpredictability of all the processes I use. It is always the process that inspires me and that is what keeps me making. One of my great pleasures is sampling. It keeps my work fresh and exciting and inspires me to create unique surfaces. Teaching and sharing my love of wool, feltmaking, sampling and creativity with students all around the world is so rewarding.
