Hepatitis A, B, C and Travel/ Global Infectious Diseases
I’m sure you’ve seen the TV ads for the hepatitis vaccine. There's good information about how you or your child can get this infectious illness, but it’s important to know that there is an alternative for prevention and treatment of hepatitis. Off to see the world? Travel...the 'disease frontier'! The CDC and WHO recommend getting all your childhood shots plus shots for typhoid, yellow fever, rabies, Hepatitis A, B and C, and drugs for malaria and diarrhea for travel. Cruise ships and E. coli breakouts. The list goes on...amazing that any of us travel as much as we do with illness lurking everywhere!
